I was searching who was the author of this photo https://spyurk.am/posts/2587 https://joindiaspora.com/posts/1996816 https://diasp.org/posts/1394284 links point to the same post as seen from different nodes. And eventually I found it at #moma website. Indeed, I have been written the names of the photographers, and I have been written the name of #Helen-Levitt. However while searching in the #internet for her photos I did not find this one and assumed that this is not her photo and I forgot to write down the name of the author. So now I found it at the MoMA site and now I know that this is a photo by Helen #Levitt. The World’s First Cross-Dressing Superhero I received an email this week about an unknown artist Arthur Ashod Pinajian who, the email described, was:
“a boy growing up in an #Armenian community in #West-Hoboken, NJ., #Pinajian was a completely self-trained #cartoonist. During the #Great-Depression he became one of the pioneers in a new medium: the #comic book. In #1940 he created ‘Madam Fatal,’ the first #cross-dressing #superhero, for Crack Comics. After World War II, he enrolled at the Art Students League in #Woodstock, #NY.
