my German friend bought at Gyumri, as he sais, “soviet” phone. It’s a cheap Samsung phone intended to be used at the former (unfortunately, future) union republics. that’s why it contains T9 keyboards for those languages, but not for English or German. Thus he has troubles texting fast. (:

What’s interesting, Armenian language name of the interface is written in classical orthography. Հայերէն, not Հայերեն, with է։ (: I didn’t have a chance to see the interface translation. May be it was done by diaspora Armenians, who refused to use Soviet, new orthography.
