i feel so stupid, i was browsing through my bios to turn off hyperthreading, because some build scripts run 4 processes on my actually 2 core machine, so i went to bios to disable hyperthreading, and i have noticed the setting for charging, and an instruction, that if i press fn+f2, i can stop the charging, and not overcharge the battery! of course there had to be such a feature, but i thought it’s too good to be true.
i even remember the bios update of somene’s, i guess asus, which would not change the battery more than 80%, and it is not always convenient, what if i know i need the fully charged battery today?
thinking that something is too good to be true is a pattern, by the way, i usually think that something good is not really possible, but that gives me opportunities to not keep high hopes in people, if someone promised to do something, i still have to have a backup, and i check if anything went successful, whatever i do, if it’s a copy of the file, or new function in the code. thus i keep better relationships with people, because i don’t expect them to be responsible, trustworthy, good, willing to help, etc, but on the other hand i don’t manipulate them to be responsible by let’s say being offended, so that may be does not make world a better place.
