i like new #dirkgently series more - it’s closer to the book, it has the original, adams’ spirit.

also dirk is not a swindler/cheater, he believes in what he does. and both of them, the detective and the assistant are not “muzhik”-like, adult menfolk/mankind at all - they are very young and unripe. well, even police detectives are not, which is very appealing and trustworthy as well.
