#Krushchev was very impressed by #American #washing-machines. He had to admit that #US was superior in this field. However when he was asked a question by one of the journalists about the impressions from #US technological advances he said that not washing machines make great countries, but missiles. I think, it is obvious that he was not right. Not that I love other player in that #cold-war - #US leaders. I just think that washing, and other machines, i. e. technologies that help regular people - are much more important than military technologies. Besides, in this picture it is possible to see #Brezhnev, one of the future leaders of the #USSR, who is famous by granting medals to himself and starting so called period of stagnation. #СССР

Also, I believe that time of evil empires is gone. Now it is time for technological advances and education aimed for people, not against them. It’s a pity that, let’s say not all the leaders can see that.
