@{Martin Sand Christensen ; martinsandchristensen@joindiaspora.com} so you know how to use flash in daylight.
I’ve discovered this flickr photographer recently, Tod Gross, most of his photos are daylight street photography, and we know that it’s hard to make daylight photos because of the shadows and high contrast. So I guess what he does, is he uses on camera flash in order to decrease a contrast of the picture. (it may sound counter intuitive, to use flash when it’s sunny, and not use it when it’s dark). there is even some evidence of that in the mirrors or sunglasses.
so i remember you asked if i used flash for one of my daylight photos and i said no. how would i use flash with film cameras? i never used it, but i happen to have a couple. one has some buttons on it, and one does not. so these cameras have sync? what does it mean? to fire the light at the ‘right’ moment? but what shutter/aperture values should i use then? do these flash units use standard light amount or those are different? there is X on one of my mamiyas which is fixed to 1/90 and serves for a shutter i guess. i’ve seached in the web, but i actually want to socialize, and to hear your opinion on that.
