there is a village in Armenia called Malishka. it sounds like a Slavic word, but it is not. and there were no molokans living around.

in some dialects, ‘mal’ means an animal, cattle. ‘ishka’, also known as ‘ishel’, ‘ashel’ means - to ‘maintain’, look after animals. so this is a village of animal maintainers. (:
