SVP reportez vous au fichier CLOCK.DOC pour les instructions en
Fran‡ais.

========================================================================

I Important note:
--------------------

CLOCK is a POSTCARDWARE program.
It means that this program is entirely free and it's FORBIDDEN to sell
it.
PD library, BBS and magazine can swap it at low price (cost of the disk
and package) and must REGISTER by sending me a POSTACARD.
But, is is absolutely FORBIDDEN to modify the program and/or any file of
the pack ! If you want to do a translation, contact me and I will send
you all you need to do a good job !

II Purpose:
-------------

Ouuups.... Don't think: " Again an other clock program that I will store
with the others... "

Why ? Because there is a lot of nice features:

- It works only on FALCON.

- It works on ALL SCREEN TYPE in ANY RESOLUTION !!

- It works with TOS or MultiTOS, use iconify message or MiNT sig etc...

- The alarm option allow to play multi-tasked (even on TOS) sample in
	Direct To Disk !

- All options can be set, loaded or saved.... The default settings come
   from the '_IDT' cookie.

III How it works:
------------------

Under normal TOS rename the program as CLOCK.ACC and install it with
your others accessories...
To configure the program open the item in the accessory menu.

Under MultiTOS, run the CLOCK.APP program.
A menu bar appears and you can select options.

IV INFO:
----------

This screen just informs you about the author of the program.

V PARAMETERS:
----------------

All the clock options can be configured via this window.

MARCHE button put the clock on or off.

SECONDES button activates de displays of seconds.

DATE button activates the date display.

The first PopUp allows to configure the date format. There is 4 choices
(ie the '_IDT' cookie).

The second PopUp allows to choose the hour format (12 or 24 hour)

Now about the alarm. It is very simple. Just choose a DVS sample (for
exemple a Winrec sample)... But the sample must be NO PACKED !

At the alarm time, the sample is played in D2D mode so, you can select a
sample about 10 Mb lenght if you want !

VI Bugs or problems:
----------------------

Not some serious bugs but just any possible problems...

1/ The MALLOC function doesn't work correctly in ACCESSORY mode with TOS
so the memory used by the alarm option may be not restaured correctly...

2/ With MultiTOS in ACCESSORY mode, if you want to change resolution and
the SECONDE option is off; the program may wait about 10 secondes before
shutting down... Don't panic just be patient !

3/ NEVER send KILL signal to the program !! It will crash ! Because KILL
signal is never received by the program ! MiNT never send a KILL signal:
it clears the program ! But I use the NKCC keyboard routines and it must
be set off before exiting.
