Brief instructions: Run the .ttp program. At the prompt, type the name of the program you'd like to pack, leave a blank space, and then the name of the new, packed filename. Do _not_ use the same filename, and do not delete the original, unpacked version until you have verified that the packed version works. If you need to unpack a file for some reason, at the command line, type "-u pack_filename.ext unpacked_name.ext" where the "xxx.ext" is replaced by the packed file and the name to which you want it unpacked. Packed files should average between 25%-50% smaller, and will load as fast as the unpacked, if not faster. Any executable code can be packed; this includes desk accessories, .EXE files (such as 'neodesk.exe'), and all .PRG/.TOS/.TTP. *** The file PACKER.HBL is a HotWire Block, which contains a small command shell for PFXPAK. Just install the block into a HotWire menu, fix the path to where you keep PFXPAK.TTP, and away you go!
