IMHO ==== IMHO : Ian's Memory Hungry OLR Copyright (C) 1993, Ian Print If you don't feel like wading through this documentation right now, then just have a quick look at the short text file PLAY.TXT which tells you what to do to have a quick play with the message packet included in this archive, and should give you an idea of what this OLR is like. If you're upgrading to a new version of IMHO, have a read of the VERSIONS.TXT file in the DOC directory. This tells you what changes there are, and highlights and incompatibilities between releases. Files in the Archive -------------------- The archive should be called IMHOVnnn.TOS, where nnn is the version, e.g. 100 for V1.00. The version number will also be displayed when the program is run. This is a self extracting archive which will (or probably already has, as you're reading this now) produce the following directories and files :- IMHO.PRG The OLR program IMHO.RSC Resource file IMHO.CFG Example configuration file DESKTOP.INF Desktop with ramdisk Icon DOC\README.1ST This documentation DOC\IMHO_DOC.TXT General documentation on IMHO DOC\CONFIG.TXT Documentation on setting up IMHO DOC\USE.TXT Documentation on using IMHO DOC\MEMORY.TXT Documentation on memory use DOC\1MB_USER.TXT Documentation for users with 1Mb ram DOC\PLAY.TXT Short documentation to get you started DOC\VERSIONS.TXT Notes on different versions DATA\IMHO.HED Example reply header file DATA\IMHO.SIG Example signature file DATA\IMHO.TAG Example tagline file DATA\IMHO.USR Example user file DATA\KEITHPT.CNF Aliases for packet conferences MESSAGES\KEITHPT.123 Message packet REPLIES\KEITHPT.001 First reply packet REPLIES\KEITHPT.002 Second reply packet BOOKMARK\KEITHPT.123 Bookmarks for packet No. 123 BOOKMARK\SUMMARY.ALL Summary info for all packets SNIPPETS\DUMMY Directory to save messages into Plus dummy file to keep ZIP happy AUTO\ETERNAL.PRG Reset proof ramdisk AUTO\RAMDISK.DAT Specifies size of ramdisk AUTO\CONFGRAM.TOS Use to change RAMDISK.DAT EDITOR\PROED.TTP A sharware editor program EDITOR\PROED.DOC Docs for the editor EDITOR\NOTE.TXT Short note about the editor ARCHIVER\ZIPJR.TTP ZIP archiver/dearchiver ARCHIVER\NOTE.TXT Short note about the archiver What to read next ----------------- Have a look at IMHO_DOC.TXT which tell you general things about this OLR, the way it works and the requirements to run it. Read CONFIG.TXT to find out how to set it up properly for your system, and more detailed information on how it works. Read USE.TXT to find out all the details on how to use it. Read MEMORY.TXT if you're short on memory and want to know how to make the most of it. Read 1MB_USER.TXT if you're using this on a machine with only 1Mb memory and no hard drive.
