~c ~3~* is pleased to offer: ~6ST-QWK v~V: offline mail door by: A+ Software ~7Programmed by: David Blanchard Copyright (c) 1992,1993,1994 A+ Software ~3When entering the door you will be presented with a menu. The ten options are: ~2[~7D~2] ~3'D'ownload QWK packet ~6Are you ready to 'D'ownload your QWK packet? First, ST-QWK will create your CONTROL.DAT and DOOR.ID files needed by your reader. It will then ask you for the compression method, which for now includes Zip, Arc, & Lzh. (Note: most of these options are hot-keyed). Then it will ask you for the maximum number of message per base to scan. Type in a number or hit [Enter] for all. It will then ask if you wish to scan only messages to you. Typing 'Y' will only send messages to you, and your High Message Reads WILL NOT be updated. That way, you may go back and scan the other messages in the base manually via FidoDoor, or download a complete QWK later. Hitting 'N' will send all messages that you have not read, up to the maximum number that you specified. After answering this prompt, ST-QWK will proceed to analyze the messages and store them in the MESSAGES.DAT file. Everytime it finds a message base that you have marked for scan, (and provided you have read access to it) it will print a status report on that conference after scanning it. If there no new messages, it will not print anything. After it scans all the bases, the archiver you selected will be called up, and will pack everything into the .QWK file. You will be asked for your preferred transfer protocol, and XYZ will be called with the proper parameters. After the transfer, the program will end and return to the BBS. ~2[~7P~2] ~3Selected Download ~6This selection works the same way as the '~7D~6'ownload option, with one major exception: During the scan of your bases marked for scan, you will be prompted on whether or not you wish to have this base scanned. ~2[~7!~2] ~3Zap Download. ~6This option allows you to use your default settings from '~7M~6'iscellaneous Config to auto download your stored settings. ~2[~7U~2] ~3'U'pload REP packet ~6Ready to upload a REPly? Select the '~7U~6'pload REP option. ST-QWK will ask you for the transfer protocol and execute XYZ to receive the REP packet. The program is capable of detecting the type of archive, and calling the appropriate extraction routine. If it can't deter- mine the archive type, the process will be halted, and an error logged to the screen and logfile. It will recognize the following archive methods: ARC, LZH, ZIP & ARJ. The messages will be imported, and a report returned. When completed, you will be returned to the BBS. ~2[~7S~2] ~3'S'can settings ~6ST-QWK v~V uses the scan settings that are in FidoDoor, and can be configured from either program. FidoDoor, by default, turns all the scan settings on; you NEED to set your scan settings before attempting a download. The Configure section displays the bases in increments of 32, displaying the Conference name and status of the scan setting (on or off). You may enter the number or numbers of the bases you want to change. i.e. "~725~6" will turn off base 25, and "22-25 30 2" will turn off bases 2,22,23,24,25 & 30. Hitting '~7C~6' will continue to list more base settings, until it cannot display anymore, and will return to the main menu. Hitting '~7P~6' will go to the previous page, in case you missed something. Hitting '~7Q~6' will quit back to the main menu on any screen saving your progress to that point. ~2[~7C~2] ~3'C'hange High Message Reads ~6Allows you to view your current high message pointers and change them. Shown on the screen are the bases you have set up to download from (Selected under '~7S~6'can Settings) along with your current high message pointer. just type the number you want to change and the program will prompt you for the range to enter your new high message pointer. Hitting '~7C~6' will continue to list more base settings, until it cannot display anymore, and will return to the main menu. Hitting '~7R~6' will redisplay the screen. Hitting '~7P~6' will go to the previous page, in case you missed something. Hitting '~7Q~6' will quit back to the main menu saving your progress to that point. ~2[~7M~2] ~3'M'iscellaneous Config settings ~6In this part of the program, you can select several options that can be used in conjunction with the Zap Download option. 1st is the 'Scan Personal Message Only' toggle. If set to '~7Y~6'es, ST-QWK will only scan out messages addressed to you, and does *not* modify your high-message pointers. The second option is 'Max messages to scan per base'. Enter an integer value greater than zero, followed by a carriage return. Third is the archive format selection, either ARC, LZH or ZIP. Fourth is the default download protocol selection, either Xmodem CRC, Xmodem 1K, Ymodem, or Zmodem. And finally, there is the toggle for Auto Logoff after transfer (works for either Zap or regular download) ~2[~7H~2] ~3'H'elp file ~6This help file being displayed! ~2[~7G~2] ~3'G'raphics Setting ~6Allows you to toggle the current graphics mode. Press ~7~6 for no change. ~2[~7Q~2] ~3'Q'uit. ~6The Quit option should be pretty self explanatory. ~3Future features: Some features I will be adding in the immediate future include: o Any features that the SysOps or users have to offer...
