                                Getting Started
                                ===============

Godel is an intelligent mathematics processor which can do arithmetic, solve
equations, plot graphs and even knows calculus!  It runs in both high and 
medium resolutions.

This disk contains the PD version of Godel, which has limited accesses to some
functions.  If you register with WoolleySoft (œ10) you will receive the full
version.  Full instructions on how to use the program are included in the 
godel.doc file.

This disk also contains a PD version of The Guru, a hypertext desk accessory,
to provide you with online help.  To run The Guru make sure that GURU.ACC and 
GURU.HXT are installed on the root directory of a floppy disk in your A drive
and reboot your computer.  The Guru will be installed under the DESK menu 
header as 'The Guru'.  To start running The Guru simply select 'The Guru' from 
this menu.  Full instructions for use are available from the hypertext 
document displayed.  The Guru is a stand-alone shareware product in it's own 
right, and runs in all resolutions.  Registration to obtain the full version
costs œ10, and an order form is enclosed.

                            Ordering Information
                            ====================

** Godel **

You are using the PD version of Godel.  This is fully functional with the 
following exceptions

a.   The 'Show Working' function has been turned OFF.  This means that you will
     not be able to see the working required to produce the final answer when 
     simplifying expressions or solving equations.  

b.   The program will not process any equation whose final form after 
     simplification includes a power of x greater greater than 1.  For example 
     GODEL will process 5 = 2x-3 or y = 1/2x, but not 6 = x(x+2) or y = 1/x^2.
     However expressions will be processed - so for instance (x+2)(2x-3) will
     be simplified to give 2x^2 + x - 6.

If you register (œ10), I'll supply you with the latest full version which gives 
you the intermediate steps in the working out and no restrictions on equation 
processing.  I'll also throw in any other relevant PD\Shareware software I've 
got hanging about.


** The Guru **

You are using the PD version of The Guru.  This version is complete except
that it displays an annoying little reminder message everytime you link
between pages.  If you register you will a version that doesn't do this,
any enhancements that I've added, any other goodies (including other 
hypertext documents) that I can squeeze onto the registration disk, 
notification of any future enhancements and details of other WoolleySoft 
products.

Registration cost œ10.  However if you provide me with a disk containing a 
new hypertext document with a size greater than 20K for The Guru then the
registration cost is reduced to œ5.
