PROGRAM  INFORMATION  October 1991

Here are a number of shareware and money up front programs I have
written. Most of these will only run on a PAL screen, unless (NTSC) is
given, indicating that the program will run on both types of screens.

Many of the programs are available from Megadisk (sometimes as a Demo
version) or directly from me at the below address.

If you buy the full version, you will get the latest version, plus in
cases where the program was resricted in some way, an unrestricted version!

All that is needed is your name, address and cheque or money order (the
latter is probably cheaper) for the price of the program.

CHESS PROGRAMS (Write for current prices)
There are a number of chess programs available, including at least one
(chesstutor) which is suitable for beginners. Other chess programs are
mainly catering for keen chess enthusiasts, and include an Opening
Library, Database, Solitare Chess and Chess Puzzles. Samples of these
programs are on a Chess Demos disk. 1 Meg required for some of these
programs. Compiled with AC/Basic.

STRATEGY GAMES($25 each)
Battle of Britain 
1 Meg needed.
1 or 2 player strategy game of the infamous battle.
Fighters, bombers, radar, airbases, cities, AAguns, fuel, production etc.
The computer can play either side and uses a different strategy each game.
Compiled with AC/Basic.

Starfleet Battles
1 to 4 player space strategy game which involves exploration, colonisation,
fleet production, battles, capture of home planets etc. Different levels
of difficulty. The computer can play quite a mean game.

The Wargame
1 Meg needed.
2 to 6 (human or computer) player game. Players build infantry, artillery,
calvary, bombers, fighters, air defence, navy, submarines and merchant
ships in an effort to increase their production and capture territory.
Players begin with 1900 technology and increase it till it reaches mid
20th century level. Terrain, neutrals, combined arms, bombing, air
support, naval blockades etc. Moderately complicated. Different levels of
difficulty. Fairly fast moving.

ROLE PLAYING($25 each)
Dungeon of Nadroj (This is it!)
1 to 4 player Hack type dungeon game. 6 dungeon levels, monsters,
treasure, dozens of items, trading, spells, magic items etc. The object is
to defeat the wizard on the 6th level. Player interaction with several
human players. Full version has random dungeon generator.
Compiled with AC/Basic.

Ethos
A fast moving, fairly light hearted graphics/text adventure. The game
includes about 75 pictures, most of them quite large, plus a dozen or so
sound samples. The theme is Greek mythology. The full version includes
printed detailed instructions and tips. Written in Blitz Basic.

BASIC TUTORIALS
Basic Tutor
A series of chapters on disk, covering all the Amigabasic commands (though
library commands are not covered in depth). Quite a lot of text.

Various quizs are interspersed within the text to keep you going.

Wordsquare 
Find the words hidden in a square grid. Different levels of difficulty.

Hangman
The classic word game.

Frazzle
Tile matching, concentration type game.

IQ-Test($25)
Includes hundreds of questions in tests such as Verbal, Spatial, Logic
Choice of different time levels for tests. High score tables.
Suitable for about 8 years to adult.

Quiz Creator ($20)
Allows you to easily create your own multiple choice or open ended quizs.

Adventure Creator 
Allow you to create your own text adventure games. A future version will
allow you to include grahics (DPaint brushes) and sound samples.
