Lexess.doc ---------- Lexess - An AMOS game. Most of the instructions are included in the game itself - simply select them from the option screen. There are however some outstanding points to note:- 1. Lexess will work sort-of on NTSC machines - NORMAL mode is fine, but you won't be able to see the timer bar in any of the other modes, (though the sound effects will tell you when time is almost up), and you miss some of the text in certain sections. Just press either the SPACE bar or RETURN here - that should be enough to get the game to progress at least. 2. Lexess needs the following files or it will flatly refuse to work:- diskfont.library in the libs directory. title4.pic in the root or assigned directory. gamesounds_samples.abk in the root or assigned directory. candle11.abk in the root or assigned directory. font1.abk in the root or assigned directory. helvetica and easyamos fonts in the fonts directory. Finally, you will also need to call the disk Lexess, or do some assigning. 3. Lexess needs a 1 meg machine to work properly. It will crash with less. Other notes ----------- Lexess was written with Easy Amos. It was then transferred to Amos and compiled with the Amos compiler. Lexess was crunched with Powerpacker. Enjoy... Ashley Willis
