Booting the Assassins CD on an Amiga The Boot.Amiga.DMS includes an archived version of a Boot disk for the Assassins CD. After the disk has been un-archived to a floppy in df0, by double clicking on the Boot.Amiga icon, a file called CD0 must be altered to reflect the device you are using to connect your CD Rom drive to the Amiga. This is noramlly a SCSI device. The CD0 file is laid out below. The following line must be edited.......... Startup = "DEVICE=z3scsi.device UNIT=1 ML R " The 'z3scsi.device' should be edited to include the name of the device used, ie. 'scsi.device'. Do not change any other items in the file. To ease the process of editing the CD0 file, ensure Assassins CD is in the CD drive and double click on the CD0 icon on the floppy. Change the 'DEVICE=' line and the select 'SAVE FILE' from the Menu at the top of the screen. When this is complete it is possible to boot the Assassins CD on an Amiga with CD Rom by placing the Assassins CD in the CD drive and rebooting the Amiga with the newly created floppy in df0: ----------------------------------------------------- /* AmiCDROM filesystem */ CD0: Handler = L:cdrom-handler Stacksize = 10000 Priority = 10 GlobVec = -1 Mount = 1 Startup = "DEVICE=z3scsi.device UNIT=1 ML R " #
