SIMPLY HELP! Version 1.06 April 1992 The Simply Help! package consists of two self-extracting archive files created with Lharc version 2.12. Both of these are needed and should be unpacked into one directory, if you have a hard drive. If you are using floppies unpack each file (SHLP1.EXE, SHLP2.EXE) onto separate floppies. This can be done by running the INSTALL.EXE program or manually with the commands listed below. It is assumed that the distribution disk is in drive A. HARD DISK ;Enter the following DOS commands --------- C: (Or drive of your choice) MD\SHLP (Or directory of your choice) CD\SHLP A:SHLP1 A:SHLP2 FLOPPY DISK NOTE: You must have two floppy drives and two formatted ----------- 360K disks or one 720/1.2M/1.44M disk ;Insert blank disk in drive B and label it 'Disk# 1' ;Enter the following DOS commands B: A:SHLP2 ;Insert second blank floppy in drive B: if using ;360K disks and label it 'Disk#2' A:SHLP1 The complete manual for this package is in the file called SHDOCS.EXE. This allows you to view the manual on the screen or print it either to your printer or a text file. You can also install the manual as a TSR so you can read the manual as you try the program. Just select Install TSR from the menu to do this. It can be removed later with the same menu choice. You should ignore the section in the manual on installing the program, as it assumes the program comes on two floppies rather than compressed on one. Start the editor by typing "SHED". There are a couple of source files included that you can play around with when using the editor. The online help for the editor contains almost as much information as the manual so go ahead and try it out. If you are unsure about anything just press F1 for help at any time. You can read the manual later. BASIC programmers should load the SHELP.SRC into the editor and run it for the latest information on the libraries included with Simply Help! See the file "PACKING.LST" for a complete list of files and what they do. Thanks for trying Simply Help! (LHArc version 2.12 Copyright (c) Haruyasu Yoshizaki)
