Each task is a list of DOS commands which perform a function or a few closely related functions. For example, an task can be defined which runs a group of daily reports. The DOS commands to run the reports are entered in the same way that they would be entered at the DOS prompt. Each task has a description which may be changed from this list, by TABing to the description and typing over the existing description. Use the arrow keys, HOME, END, Page Up, Page Down, TAB and Shift-TAB to move through the list of tasks. .pa These are the functions performed when the following key is pressed: F1 - Display Help screen F2 - Edit task Add or change the existing DOS commands for the task. F3 - Add task Create a new task, enter the description and the DOS commands. F4 - Delete task Delete an existing task. The task selected will be deleted, and the file of tasks associated with the task. EVENTMAN will ask you to confirm before the task is deleted. F5 - Define events Set up events which use the tasks defined. A event is a list of tasks which is set to start at the given date and time. A event can be set to execute once or to repeat at a given interval. F6 - Save task list and return to DOS prompt.
