Choosing a recorder
Recorders are either wood or
plastic. If you dont own one
at this time its better to buy
an inexpensive plastic model.
Wooden ones are available in
in the low price range but are
not of good quality, parts
dont fit together properly and
the tone can be a bit 
lifeless.
