The music presented in The MusicBox Series is intended for two purposes. The first, of course, is the listening pleasure of computer users. The second is to provide a library of high quality music files that may be used in the corporate and educational environment as background music for multi-media presentation. As such, we must be a bit conservative in the selection process. (Sorry. No hard rock, super-progressive jazz or 'way out modern "classical".) Music that was written over 50 years ago is not likely to be still under copyright. That, of course, interests us. However, we are interested in newer music and willingly pay the appropriate Artists' Guilds the proper royalty fees. We're looking for music in the following categories. ROCK & ROLL (1950s/1960s), TV/MOVIE/BROADWAY MUSICAL THEMES, RAGTIME (ESPECIALLY SCOTT JOPLIN), MARCHES (ESPECIALLY JOHN PHILLIP SOUSA), BOOGIE-WOOGIE (ESPECIALLY FEATURING THE PIANO), HONKY-TONK, SWING, MUSIC FROM THE 1920s, 1930s, 1940s AND 1950s, CLASSICAL MUSIC, HYMNS, ETC.
