The Tamper program requires an IBM-compatible computer with a hard disk, one megabyte of memory, a VGA monitor, and MS-DOS version 3.0 or later. To run this CD-ROM version of Tamper, you first must copy the program files onto a floppy disk or hard disk. We recommend you use a floppy disk. Any disk you use must have a minimum capacity of 720k. Once you have the files copied from the CD-ROM, you can install the program onto your hard disk by running INSTALL. If using a floppy disk, insert the disk into a drive and type: A:INSTALL and then press . If you are using drive B instead of A, type B:INSTALL. If using your hard disk, change to the directory containing the files, and then type INSTALL. To run the Tamper program, make sure you are in the directory where the files were installed. From that directory, run the program by typing: TAMPER and then press . If you need further assistance with installation or getting started, view the file GETSTART.DOC. To do so, type: VIEW GETSTART.DOC. Keep in mind that those instructions assume you're using a floppy disk. "Distribution disk 1" refers to the foppy disk (or hard disk directory) you copied the TAMPER files onto from the CD-ROM. Remember: first copy, then install.
