Install instructions: ===================== The disk or disks you have received MUST BE LOADED ONTO A HARD DISK PRIOR TO USING THE PROGRAM. All the files have been compressed to save space and must be decompressed during installation. 1. There is a program on the disk that will install the Recipe File Management Software onto your hard disk, all you need to know is the character designation of the hard disk (C: or D: normally). 2. Place the disk in your A: or B: floppy drive. 3. Type A: or B: then the key. 4. Your floppy drive prompt should appear ie. A:> 5. Type INSTALL C: then the key. (C: being the hard disk you want the program installed on). 6. Follow the instructions on the screen. Special Considerations ====================== 1. If you are NOT using a "File Manager" access the software by @ your C:> prompt type CD RM If you ARE using a "File Manager" enter the following code into the batch file calling Recipe File Management: CD RM RM PAUSE 2. To start program type RM at C:\RM> prompt. 3. The initial load of the program will index all the data files. 4. Printing of the manual can be done by selecting "User Help" from the main menu and then selecting "Print Info". 5. For evaluation purposes we have provided Sample Recipe data so the operator can see how the recipes are stored and how costing and yield adjustments are completed. We suggest that you spend some time working with the sample data and familiarizing yourself with the manual. Learn all the basic functions prior to starting to add your own recipes. 6. If you decide to use Recipe File Management and register the software we can be of additional help to you. a. We can review your categories and advise you on the proper Setup procedures. b. We can review your Expense Item file and advise you on the its proper Setup procedures. c. For a nominal fee we can load your first 10 to 50 recipes. WHEN READY TO START YOUR OWN SET OF RECIPES ... CLEAN OUT SAMPLE FILES At the DOS (C:\RM>) prompt type NEWDATA and make sure you set the proper PATH in the SETUP section for the Inventory data files.
