PLAIN VANILLA LABELS VERSION 3.16 Why yet another label program? Because I could never find one that I really liked. I wanted to be able to print one label for a one-time letter without having to format and save it. I also wanted to print a hundred labels as simply as possible. In short, a simple label program for simple labels. Even with its simplicity, Plain Vanilla Labels has some nice features; up to 10 lists of labels can be kept and each entry can be indexed at any point on the label. Labels can be searched and printed by searching for a string such as a postal code or a state or province. Label data can be exported for use in other programs. Comments can be "hidden" in any part of any line of the label. The program is menu driven, has a full-featured editor and uses macros to make data entry easier. TRY IT. Copy all files on the distribution disk to a floppy disk or into a directory on your hard drive. Make this disk or directory the current or logged directory and type PVL . Your CONFIG.SYS file should have the entry, FILES=15 and, optionally, BUFFERS=15. DOCUMENTATION Print, or at least read VANILLA.DOC for other details. In the spirit of saving trees, the manual is as succinct as possible. REGISTRATION Registration costs $10, or $15 if you wish the latest version mailed to you. You will receive a code which will remove all exhortations to register.
