1***************************** EventLog SCREEN ****************************** 1 1--- SCROLLING --- 1 1Pressing the keypad keys causes the highlighted bar to take the following 1actions: 1 1 UP and DOWN ARROWS Moves bar up and down one line. 1 1 PGUP and PGDN keys Moves bar up and down one screen. 1 1 HOME key Moves the event closes to the current 1 date to the top of the screen. 1 1 CTRL/HOME keys Takes you to the top of file. 1 1 END key Takes you to the bottom of file. 1 1--- ADDING AN EVENT --- 1 1To add a new ChronoLog event, press A on the EventLog screen, then 1enter the information as you are asked for it. 1 1--- VIEWING AN EVENT --- 1 1Move the highlighted bar to the event you wish to view, press the ENTER KEY. 1 1--- MODIFYING AN EVENT --- 1 1Move the highlighted bar to the event you wish to modify, press the ENTER 1KEY. The VIEW EVENT screen will appear. Press M to modify the event. 1 1--- DELETING AN EVENT --- 1 1Move the highlighted bar to the event you wish to delete, press the ENTER 1KEY. The VIEW EVENT screen will appear. Press D to delete the event. 1 1--- ADDING, MODIFYING, OR DELETING A CROSSKEY --- 1 1Your CROSSKEY list can be maintained by pressing X on the Event Log 1Screen. 1 1--- SEARCHING FOR EVENTS --- 1 1Your data base may be searched for events based on embedded character 1strings, or attached CROSSKEYS. Press S on the EventLog Screen to 1bring up the SEARCH MENU. If you would like to print the events found in 1the search, go immediately to the PRINT MENU and select "PRINT THE RESULTS 1OF THE LAST SEARCH". 1 1--- DISPLAYING THE CROSSKEY MATRIX --- 1 1The CROSSKEY MATRIX may be displayed by pressing M on the EventLog Screen. 1 1--- EXPORTING DATA FROM A DATABASE --- 1 1Press E on the EventLog screen to export events which can then be IMPORTed 1into another database. Events are selected by CrossKey for a specified 1time period. The export file will have an extension of .CLX. 1 1--- IMPORTING DATA INTO A DATABASE --- 1 1Press I on the EventLog screen to import events which have previously been 1EXPORTed from another database. Since events were selected by CrossKey 1when EXPORTed, you MUST have the SAME CrossKey in the receiving database. 1 1--- PRINTING CALENDARS, APPOINTMENT SCHEDULES, ETC. --- 1 1Press P on the EventLog Screen to bring up the ChronoLog PRINT MENU. 1From this menu you may print block calendars, appointment schedules, one-time 1events for a specified period of time, your list of recurring events, the 1PhoneLog, the ToDoList, or the results of the most recent event SEARCH. 1 1--- DISPLAYING A THREE-MONTH CALENDAR --- 1 1Press 3 on the EventLog Screen to pop up a three-month calendar, then 1use the KEYPAD keys to scroll the calendars forward and backward in time. 1 1--- CHANGING TO ANOTHER DATABASE --- 1 1Press J on the EventLog Screen to "Jump" to another database without 1having to exit and reload ChronoLog. 1 1--- WORKING WITH YOUR PhoneLog --- 1 1Press L on the EventLog Screen to run PhoneLog, the ChronoLog phonebook. 1 1--- WORKING WITH YOUR LIST OF THINGS TO DO --- 1 1Press T on the EventLog Screen to bring up your ToDoList. 1 1--- USING THE CALCULATOR --- 1 1Press C on the EventLog Screen to pop up a quick-and-easy calculator. 1 1--- RUNNING OTHER APPLICATIONS FROM ChronoLog --- 1 1Press D on the EventLog Screen to run DOS DIRECT. This feature allows 1you to run any other DOS applications on your computer without leaving 1ChronoLog. 1 1--- CHANGING YOUR SYSTEM SETUP PARAMETERS --- 1 1Press U on the EventLog Screen to bring up the UTILITY menu. Then select 1SETUP from the menu. Here you may 'fine-tune' the system to your own 1personal preferences. 1 1--- MAKING A SYSTEM COPY --- 1 1Press U on the EventLog Screen to bring up the UTILITY menu. Then select 1SYSTEM COPY. Copying the system in this manner to pass to a friend will 1ensure that you are copying the right files 1 1--- REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS --- 1 1Press U on the EventLog Screen to bring up the UTILITY menu. Then select 1HOW TO REGISTER. This will create an ASCII file which you may either 1edit with your registration, or print out and complete in pencil.
