~PROGRAM NAME This field should contain the descriptive name of your program. It should be followed by the version number. Example: CD-ROM DESCRIPTION EDITOR 1.0 ~PROGRAM NAME ~SHORT DESCRIPTION The short description is used primarily by bulletin board systems. You should enter a short phrase that describes the kind of software your program is. For example: 3D VGA adventure game Full featured finance program DOS utilities many features Try to describe your program with as few opinionated adjectives as you can. For example: Try not to use words like super, great, stunning incredible, fantastic, etc. Every program on this CD will be from a member of the ASP. You need only to describe your programs features and/or function. Just being on the ASP CD will do the sales. ~SHORT DESCRIPTION ~PROGRAM FILENAME This is the name of the .ZIP file your program will be stored in. It is also the filename the description data you are curently editing will be saved under. This field must have a name in it to save the description data. When submitting your program to Advantage Plus for inclusion on the ASP CD-ROM you should create a .ZIP archive that contains your program the way it will appear on the CD-ROM in both it's archive and native DOS format. ~PROGRAM FILENAME ~NUMBER OF DISKS This field is only for those programs that require more than one disk. If your program is stored on a three disk set you would enter 3 in this If it is a one disk program enter 1. ~NUMBER OF DISKS ~COMPANY NAME This field should contain the name of the copyright holder of this program. This can be your company name or your name as the author. ~COMPANY NAME ~PROGRAM DATE This should be the release date of the this program. This field must be entered in this format: 00-00-00. ~PROGRAM DATE ~FULL DESCRIPTION This field is used to describe your program in full. The way the text appears on screen is the way it will appear in the catalog. If a word breaks in the middle you should start the word on the next line. Do not indent for paragraphs. Following are some tips for writing your description: * If you're tight for space abbreviate and use symbols like & instead of and. Standard abbreviations: Rqs. - Substitute for the word requires HD - Hard drive FD - Floppy drive RAM - Random access memory VGA - Use standard video abbreviations VGA / EGA / CGA / HERC ~FULL DESCRIPTION ~CATEGORIES Use the ARROW KEYS to hi-lite a category or press a letter to jump to a specific category. Use the ENTER key to select a category for your program. If you feel your program should or could belong in a category not listed please include a note with your submission. We will be happy to create new categories if there are enough programs to justify it. You can include a note on disk in a file called APLUS .TXT. ~CATEGORIES
