He ^6assured us that we could use it, so here it is! ^7 This is a dungeon master type program where you can wander around ^7the caverns. Gary has left the monsters and gameplay for you to put ^7in for yourselves. The graphics are great, you could have fun with ^7this! If you plan to use Gary's work in your own program, apart from ^7a program for your own amusement, please contact us for Gary's ^7address so that you can tell him what you are doing. Remember the ^7rules - If you use someone else's code/graphics/music etc, you MUST ^7credit the original author for their work. ^6 The following is the letter which came with the disk.... ^4 There are 2 actual Amos programs - Dungeon_Ed.amos and ^43D_Dungeon.amos with 6 other files. I`ll describe what they all do: ^4DUNGEON_ED.AMOS: ^4 This program is used to draw a plan view of a dungeon using the ^4mouse. The left button places blocks, the right button erases them. ^4You can also fill or clear the grid. Once your design is finished it ^4can then be saved to disk as a .MAP file. These .MAP files can also ^4be loaded for future editing. ^43D_DUNGEON.AMOS: ^4 This second program is used to walk around your shiny new dungeon ^4all in 3D (as in Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder etc) using first ^4person perspective. You can use the mouse to click on the direction ^4arrows using left or right buttons or alternatively use the numeric ^4keypad as follows: ^4 1 - step left; ^4 2 - backwards; ^4 3 - step right; ^4 4 - turn left; ^4 5 - forwards; ^4 6 - turn right. ^4NOTE: I have tried to leave both programs open-ended so that other ^4 users can add new features to them if they wish. ^4DUNGEON_1.MAP: ^4 This is a data file produced with Dungeon_Ed.amos and loaded into a ^42D array in 3D_Dungeon.amos automatically. ^4DUNGEON_GFX.IFF ^4 This file is loaded as the surrounding graphics for 3D_Dungeon.amos ^4and can be loaded into DPaint. ^4DUNGEON_SAMPLE.ABK ^4 This file loads into the sample bank in 3D_Dungeon.amos and contains ^41 sample which is used when the player walks into a wall. ^4WALLS.ABK ^4 This is a SpriteX bob file loaded into 3D_Dungeon.amos and it ^4contains the wall and compass bobs. ^4DUNGEON_ED_ICONS.ABK ^4This file holds the button bobs which load into Dungeon_Ed.amos. ^4OOF!_SAMPLE.IFF ^4 The sample contained in Dungeon_Sample.abk but in .IFF format. ^4 I have included all of the .abk and .iff files as it is the easiest ^4way of letting others users change or expand the programs. ^2Gary Crook. ^1********************************************************************* \
