^4 Welcome  to  Totally Amos, Issue 5.  If this is your first look into
^4the  magazine,  then  Welcome,  if you've been here before, then it's
^4nice to see you again!

^6 Congratulations  go  to  Francois  Lionet and his wife on the recent
^6birth  of  their  son.   We sent a congrats card on behalf of all our
^6readers,  and  we  hope  that they are not getting too many sleepless
^6nights!

^4 Another  piece  of  news, is that we are now running the Amos Public
^4Domain  Library  as  well as producing Totally Amos.  This means that
^4Sandra  will  now  have  more  time  to  see  to the Déjà Vu Licensed
^4Software.  We hope that things will run smoothly, and that TA members
^4will be able to reap the benefits!

^5 If you are a subscriber to TA, ie you have paid for six issues, then
^5you can claim 10% discount on all your orders to the APDL.  As we are
^5also  agents  for Déjà Vu Licensed Software, you can also save 10% on
^5these  titles,  but  only if you order from us, please don't embarass
^5other  distributors by claiming discount from them!  See the new APDL
^5advert in the Ads section for prices.

^7 If  you have bought at least 3 of the 5 full issues of Totally Amos,
^7then you may claim this discount up until August 31st 1992.

^4 We  have  plans  to  make up disks of reader's programs and put them
^4into  the  library so that more people can see your work.  There will
^4be programs on these disks that have not been published in TA as they
^4were  just  too  big, so this is will be a chance for you to get your
^4hands on them!

^5 We welcome any suggestions you may have regarding the library or TA,
^5all  that  make  sense  and  are  practical will be used!  It will be
^5inevitable that TA and the Library will no longer be seen as seperate
^5entities,  but  whether  TA  is  the  Amos PD magazine or The Amos PD
^5Library  is part of TA remains to be seen, but when you boil it down,
^5you  will  benefit by having access to the latest disks, discount (NB
^5Ronnie  James  - a special offer!) and priority service!  In case you
^5didn't  read  last  issue,  Ronnie  suggested members getting special
^5offers!   Another  Ronnie, Simpson this time suggested getting `fancy
^5printed  labels'  well this is now being designed and if not stuck to
^5this disk, then it will be to the next!

^6 Competition  spot  this  time  offers  a  choice  of EITHER the AMOS
^6Compiler  OR  AMOS  3-D.   To  see  who  won  EASY  AMOS, turn to the

^4 Apologies  must  go to Paul Townsend whose Amal Tutorial listing got
^4scrambled  by TA's control codes, the articles have been repeated and
^4can  be  found  in the Programming section.  Also, some 0's (numeric)
^4appeared  as  O's  (alpha)  due  to  the fact that Paul's Fax machine
^4printed out very similar looking characters, and as I know no better,
^4I typed in the end of the article incorrectly.  Sorry folks!

^6 As to the saga of Amos In Action, our book on Amos, it should be out
^6by  now but isn't!  Unfortunately although a perfectly spelt copy was
^6sent  to  the  printers,  the finished article was full of errors, so
^6there's a further delay...........we did write it - honest- it is not
^6a figment of our imagination!

^7 Where have all your letters gone?  There has been a distinct lack of
^7input  this  time.   Get your pens working, we want to hear from you!
^7Thanks  go  to those who have written in, we do understand that a lot
^7of you have been doing exams, we hope they went well for you.

^4 Please  note  that  some  of the adverts have changed in the Adverts
^4section.   You  will  find  details  of  the Amos PD Library & Prisma
^4Software are looking for programmers, There's an ad for a new Rainbow
^4Editor and a new Disk magazine.
