This disk had a good ^2write up in Amiga Shopper a couple of months ago. ^1 LPD087 - PUZZWORD - N.J.HARRIS ^2 This is a very well presented puzzle game where you have to slide ^2lettered and coloured blocks into place to make up words crossword ^2style. You control the blocks with the joystick and there is quite a ^2bit of logical thought involved as you try to beat the clock. ^1 LPD088 - REMM 1.06 - ROBBIE MILLER ^2 This is Robbie's Enormous Map Maker, it comes complete with ^2Robbie's Amazing Map Scroller or RAMS. The map maker takes over ^2where TAME left off, it includes a map editor with full mapping ^2facilities for you to create enormous maps of your own. You can then ^2scroll around it with RAMS. The graphics supplied are superb, extra ^2graphics are on LPD092. ^1 LPD089 - EGO - UTOPIA SOFTWARE ^2 Not an Amos production, this one is machine code. You are an ^2elephant who has to gather diamonds and pieces of a digitised ^2picture. The picture then has to be put together in the centre of ^2the screen. Good Fun! ^1 LPD090 - CONCERT BOX - COLIN NAYLOR ^2 This is part 2 of Colin's Music Box program which starts to teach ^2the rudiments of music theory and allows children to enter their own ^2music with a choice of instruments. Concert Box goes a step further ^2with a tutorial on using sharps and flats, there's also info on ^2transferring sheet music to Concert Box. The style of presentation ^2of this program is very professional and includes a superior ^2instrument selector and control panel. This is a must if you use ^2Music Box and even if you don't, it would make an excellent addition ^2to anyone interested in learning about music. ^1 LPD091 - FUN TO LEARN - DAISY SOFTWARE ^2 There are lots of programs to teach and amuse your children on this ^2new disk from Daisy Software. They feature Smiley Smile and Frowny ^2Frown who appear throughout the suit of programs. ^1 The programs are as follows:- ^2 Geography Quiz - Here you have a map of Britain where you can scroll ^2from North to South. You are given the name of a place and you have ^2to click on the marked point on the map where you think the place is ^2located. ^1 Word Mix - Here you are given a mix of letters which you have to ^1unscramble to make two new words. ^2 Flags - This program asks you to identify the national flags from a ^2choice of three given. ^1 Word Dunk - This is a Hangman type game where the aim is to guess ^1the word before Smiley is dunked into the tub of water. ^2 Currencies and Capitals - The screen shows you the flag of a country ^2and you have to choose the capital city and the currency used in that ^2country. ^1 Daisygram - An anagram program where the choice of letters revolve ^1around a daisy. Letters are chosen by clicking on the lettered ^1buttons. ^2 Maths Show - This is a novel way of approaching a Maths program. ^2The scene is a game show where the two teams are captained by the ^2program's 2 characters. Smiley scores points if you are right, ^2Frowny if you are wrong. ^1 As you progress through the program you earn money which you can use ^1to play four little games. Thes are very nice versions of Noughts ^1and Crosses, Four in a Row, A slider puzzle and a bat and ball game, ^2 All in all a very nice disk of programs with some nice ideas. ^1 LPD092 - REMM GRAPHICS DISK 1 - ROBBIE MILLER ^2 This is a disk of superb graphics to use with REMM (LPD088). ^1 LPD093 - LC200 FONTS (Epson Mode) - JEFF TULLIN ^2 This is another in Jeff's series of Fonts Disks with fonts to ^2download to your printer. ^1 LPD094 - ALL SQUARE - STEVE RENNOCKS ^2 This is another puzzle game from Steve Rennocks. This time the ^2puzzle this time is to match up the centre 9 squares in your grid of ^216 squares with the grid at the bottom of the screen. This is done ^2by sliding the blocks into the one empty space in the grid as you ^2would with a sliding puzzle. ^2 The game is joystick controlled and can be played by one or two ^2players. ^3********************************************************************* \
