The ^4results can be seen in this issue. We have also had more entries for ^4this competition than for any other, see the result in the `Other ^4Info' section. ^5 In response to Mr P.K.May's suggestions, we have now modified the ^5following features. ^4 1) The up/down arrows:- Clicking the right mouse button on these ^4buttons will scroll the text up or down a whole page at a time. Left ^4mouse will scroll as before. ^52) If you now wish to print out anything from TA, you will have a ^5choice of printing the whole article OR just what you can see on the ^5screen. ^4 We have had plenty of disks with your programs, we'll put as many ^4as possible on this disk for you to look at. This issue has been put ^4together with as many readers' programs as possible, these range from ^4progs written by beginners to some by experienced programmers. We ^4feel that as TA is primarily aimed at the beginner, it should be a ^4place were they stand as much of a chance of seeing their programs ^4included as anyone else. ^5 Apologies time now. ^5 Simon Nicoll's program had been altered to run using the music ^5from TA, but the fairies got to work and put it back to its original ^5form before it was sent out to you. All you have to do to fix it is ^5alter the Dir$ line and change the name of the music file to ^5Joy_for_all.abk and all should be well. ^4 The interlace_paul program, as we explained needed two pictures from ^4Technical Fred's Digi Demo disk, or you could alter the listing to ^4take two interlace progs of your own. Please see the ammended ^4listing in the programming section. ^5 The one glaring ommission from the disk which only one reader ^5spotted was the Amos for Kids tutorial file. It was suprising to ^5learn from the questionnaire that although several of you asked for ^5articles on absolute basic Basic, you didn't read or use Amos for ^5Kids and some wanted it removed! From this issue it will be renamed ^5Amos for Beginners. ^4 Due to problems encountered in the past regarding programs not ^4running from the TA disk, we will make sure that they will now do so, ^4but be warned, if you want to remove them from the TA disk, you will ^4have to alter the listing by changing the disk name or drive etc. We ^4will no longer assume that readers want to move the progs before ^4running them!! ^5 The debate on software piracy hots up with readers' views now ^5starting to come in. ^4 We are trying to get more people to write tutorials for TA, some are ^4very obliging, more have to be nagged. If you have a pet topic and ^4you'd like to share your knowledge with others, get your fingers on ^4the keyboard and send us an Ascii file!! Don't worry about layout or ^4spelling etc, all we want is the words! ^5 On the above subject of tutorials, Paul Townsend of Technical Fred ^5has started TWO tutorials for you. Look out in future issues for ^5further articles. The first is one which has been asked for on many ^5questionnaires - AMAL . The second is a bit about maths, not the 2+2 ^5sort, but Maths as it affects your Screen Effects etc. Thanks Paul. ^4 Ben Ashley has sent in an article about Comms and Amos. He is in ^4fact writing a Comms package in association with Tech Fred at the ^4moment. ^5 Jeff Tullin has sent us demo fonts and a modified printer driver so ^5that you can try downloading the sample fonts to your printer. ^4 Please note that Déjà Vu Software has a new address, look in ^4Sandra's Space for details. Also Technical Fred's Advert contains ^4details of their alternative address. ^5 If you want to polish up your program's presentation, maybe our ^5article in the programming section will help you out. ^4 We hope you will continue to write in with your views, ideas and ^4programs, we shall try to cover as many suggestions as possible. ^3 Keep on AMOSing!!! ^1 Len & Anne. ^2»»»««« * »»»««« * »»»««« * »»»««« * »»»««« * »»»««« * »»»««« * »»»««« \
