Harle. ^7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^5 Here we have another top quality arcade game on the Déjà Vu ^5Professional Software range. This is a superb car racing game where ^5the aim is to win anywhich way you can by trying to wreck your ^5opponent's car as you race around the track. ^2 This really is the BEST scrolling ever seen in an AMOS game, and ^2Philip Harle deserves all the praise he can get for the way this game ^2moves and plays. ^5 We are not talking of a screen that moves forward in one direction ^5only, but a split screen where each of the two cars has its own ^5display. The screen moves with the car without a jerk to be seen on ^5either view. ^2 There are two cars in the race, one Red, the other Blue, you can ^2either race the Red car against the Amiga, or race against a friend ^2who can use either a second joystick, or keyboard. ^5 There are five different tracks to choose from and 1, 2, 4 or 8 race ^5games to play. Your ability level can be chosen from the 10 on ^5offer, the higher you are on the scale, the harder it is to control ^5the car as it speeds around the track. Ability 1, described as ^5`vegetable' was about my level, whereas Ben, aged 11, is more used to ^5this sort of game and went higher. ^2 Having made these choices, you are given money to spend on things ^2like power steering, weopon pods, armour plating and super tyres. ^5 The control is via joystick, moving left and right rotates the car ^5and fire button accelerates. Up and down movements control the ^5weopons you own. ^2 The track record is been held at 1000 seconds by Sir Clive in a C-5, ^2which is easily beaten once you learn to control the car. It is nice ^2to see a `beatable' figure at the bottom of a high score list, it ^2gives encouragement to go on. Ben's record is 67 seconds for track ^25, can anyone better that? ^5 Everything about this game is professional, the title screen is ^5excellent as is the short animation sequence of a flash red car ^5racing across the screen. The instructions are very well presented ^5leaving nothing to guess work, these are also well illustrated. The ^5options screens are superb and could teach some commercial games a ^5thing or two about presentation. ^2 If you've got a bit of spare money to spend on Déjà Vu this month, ^2this is the one to buy. Even if you're not into car racing games, ^2this has to be seen to be believed! ^7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! \
