This time they have ^7produced a puzzle game. ^7 The aim is to `unmix' a picture before the timer runs out. There ^7are plenty of pictures on the disk and a choice of difficulty levels ^7and the number of pieces you wish to start with. If you complete the ^7picture inside the given time, you get bonus points added to your ^7score before you are taken to the next level. ^7 A rather addictive puzzle game, very well presented with good ^7graphics. Recommended. ^4¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ ^6 LPD 70. ^6 P A I N T B O X . ^6 BY SANCHO. ^7 This is a new painting/drawing package for children. There is a ^7basic art package where you can use BOX, CIRCLE, LINE and FREEHAND ^7DRAW, all with a choice of colours, the screen can also be wiped or ^7mistakes erased. You can also Load and Save your creations for later ^7use if you wish. ^7 The colouring part of the program offers 16 screens of rather nice ^7pictures which can be loaded here or in the drawing part of the ^7program. You have a choice of 32 colours and several fill patterns ^7with which to colour your picture. ^7 There is help on the disk with the instructions also contained in a ^7scrolly message on the options screen. ^4¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ ^6 LPD 71. ^6 B A T T L E C A R S . ^6 BY PHILIP G. (see reviews) This is a car race ^7between two cars who do all in their power to win the race by fair ^7means, ie driving skill, or foul, ie by shooting at each other with ^7whatever weopons they possess. ^7 The game is 1 or 2 player with choices of 5 tracks, 10 levels of ^7driving ability, number of races per game and things with which to ^7equip your car. ^7 This game must get full marks for gameplay, presentation and ^7technical excellence! If you'd like to see for yourself that AMOS ^7can produce a game to beat many commercial releases, then get ^7this!!!! ^4¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ ^6 LPD 72. ^6 M O N S T E R I S L A N D . ^6 BY JEFF TULIN. ^7 This is a role playing game for the kids from Jeff Tullin who ^7brought us SHYMER (LPD 30). This game sets you the challenge of ^7rescuing a castaway from Monster Island and taking him to a radio ^7beacon where you can send for help. ^7 You can choose from five characters and also two difficulty levels. ^7The easy option shows you where the castaway and the radio beacon are ^7located, while the hard option hides them from view for you to find ^7for yourself. ^7 As you travel around the island you find things to help fight and ^7gold to make you rich. The monsters are plentiful and you fight ^7these by clicking on spinning squares, green means you hit the ^7monster, red that he hits you. You don't have to fight, you can also ^7choose to run away, or you can try to bribe your way out of trouble. ^7 A good kids' game, see Reviews for more details. ^4¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ ^6 LPD 73. ^6 D A T A B A S E V 3 . 0 1 . ^6 BY ANDREW MAULE. ^7 This is a data base that looks good and works well. It's an isometric ^7game, ie one where the game is played on a diagonal axis. ^7 THis game has you collecting grapes as you move around the screen. ^7There are bonuses to be earned and pitfalls to avoid. Bouncing one ^7move in the wrong direction means that you fall off the playing field ^7into space. ^7 Good graphics make this an interesting game. ^4¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ ^6 LPD 75. ^6 V I D E O L A B . ^6 BY STUART LENNOX-GORDON. ^7 Are you a home video maker? Would you like to put titles and credits ^7onto your productions? Can you afford a genlock and software needed? ^7 If the answers to the first two questions is `YES' and to the third ^7`NO', then Videolab could be the answer to your problems. ^7 The author states in his introduction that this is not meant for the ^7professional user, but for the home video maker. The user interface ^7is very professional and looks easy to use. There are plenty of ^7options to produce lovely screens etc to edit into your videos, all ^7this without the use of a genlock! ^7 As making videos isn't among my hobbies, I am not familiar with the ^7technical terms used, so if any of you buy this program, PLEASE send ^7in a review to TA. ^4¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ ^6 LPD 76. ^6 T - T E C H M A Z E . ^6 BY TREVOR TAYLOR. ^7 Before you think that this is a follow up to Trevor's last program ^7T-Tech Draw, this is not a utility, but a game! ^7 This is a puzzle game where you have to move your counter through a ^7maze to the exit at the opposite end of the screen. ^7 As you bounce along, you have to walk over coloured circles which ^7open or shut gates in the maze thus helping or hindering your ^7progress. The colour(s) of the circle depicts the colour(s) of the ^7gates that will be affected. You have to be careful as very often ^7the gates close around you leaving you trapped and unable to procede ^7farther. At least you can retry the same level, and there is a ^7load/save facility if you wish to carry on from the same level next ^7time you play. ^7 There is a demo game you can watch, this helps you get the idea ^7behind the game. ^7Well recommended for puzzle freaks. ^4¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ ^6 LPD 77. ^6 P O W E R B A S E V 2 . 1 . ^6 BY STEVEN RENNOCKS. ^7 This is the most powerful Database on Deja Vu to date. This is a logic puzzle game where you click on ^7the coloured buttons on the left side of the screen to change them ^7through a set sequence of colours to match the pattern on the right ^7side of the screen. This isn't quite as straightforward as it seems ^7as the button you click on changes through two colours in the series, ^7while the adjacent ones change by one colour. ^7 There are passwords given to allow you to skip levels once you have ^7mastered them, and you have three lives which you lose if the timer ^7runs out. There is a high score table to save your score. ^7 Cheatlister isn't a game but a database of cheats for popular ^7commercial games. You can move through the titles included one at a ^7time or use fast forward to get to the one you want. You can print ^7out the cheats, but cannot add your own. ^4¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ ^6 LPD 79. ^6 M U S I C E N G I N E . ^6 BY PAUL TOWNSEND. ^7 This is a brilliant utility program that will allow you to play ^7music created in any music creater inside AMOS without the need to ^7convert it first. ^7 This will be vital to musicians who have a favourite music program, ^7but are unable to use their music in Amos programs because of the ^7lack of converters. ^7 The programs supported include Sonix, Soundtracker, Oldmed, Octomed, ^7GMC, Delta music and a host of others. ^7 Please read the review in the Reviews section for the full ^7description of this program and how it can be used in your programs. ^7 This program earns the TA award for the TOP UTILITY PROGRAM so far ^7written with AMOS. ^4¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ ^6 LPD 80. ^6 I .
