His ^5presence on the Amos scene will be greatly missed. ^1××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××× ^7**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!** ^2 W E L C O M E T O T O T A L L Y A M O S ! ^2ISSUE 3. MARCH 1992. ^7**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!**HI!!** ^5 Hello and welcome to Issue 3 of T O T A L L Y A M O S ! ^1 Our subscriber list is increasing weekly, hopefully this will mean ^1that more people will send in things to include in future issues. ^1 This issue contains programs from several readers, unfortunately, a ^1lot of submissions were just too long to put them all in one issue, ^1so they have been held in reserve for the future. ^1 We would really love to hear from you ALL. Whether you have a ^1suggestion on the content of TA, its presentation, etc. Does anyone ^1own some Amos PD or Licenseware that they would like to review? It ^1does not matter if it has already been reviewed, you may have a ^1different viewpoint. Do you have a list of your top ten AMOS ^1programs? ^2 How do you feel about Piracy? The debate was started in Issue 2 ^2where Sandra Sharkey puts forward her views on the subject as regards ^2Licensed Software, we add our thoughts, how about you? As we have had ^2no feedback, can we assume that everyone thinks that piracy is a good ^2thing? ^1 Have you found out any interesting tips to use when programming? ^1Don't assume that it's something that everyone else will know, send ^1it in! ^1 We would really love some artwork for readers to use in their ^1programs. Sprites/bobs, tiles for TOME etc. ^4 Musically we are searching for jingles rather than long pieces, ie ^4the short tunes you get on `Game Over', end of level, finding a bonus ^4item etc. ^2 Ben Ashley is starting up a section called `Totally Cheating!!' ^2where he will put in hints, tips and cheats for AMOS games. (Do Amos ^2programmers really allow the users of their games to CHEAT!!) Send ^2any hints to Ben, address given in Totally Cheating in the Other Info ^2section. ^1 Totally Useless continues, any entries? Have you done anything ^1really silly while programming? Any entry can be published ^1anonymously if you do not want everyone to know what you did! Do you ^1have any useless pieces of information to share with other readers? ^6 The competitions have not been as well supported as we had hoped, do ^6you all have the Compiler and Amos 3-D? Go on it only costs a stamp ^6to enter! You dont even need to answer any questions to enter the ^6Children's Competition! You only have to nominate a child to win the ^6prize! ^2 Some of the letters we have received from readers are published in a ^2section of their own, let's try to make this section even larger next ^2time! ^1 Suggestions from readers have resulted in a couple of changes to ^1this issue of TA. The magazine can now be controlled via the ^1keyboard as well as by mouse, and there is a guide to the controls if ^1you press the HELP key, this is available from any part of the ^1magazine! ^6 From recent letters, it has come to light that there were a few ^6things wrong with the last couple of issues of TA. We apologise for ^6these, why didn't anyone tell us?! ^71. Issue 1. The bubbles program by Dicon Peeke seems to have ^7vanished from the disk! We contacted Dicon and he has sent us ^7another copy which is on this disk. ^72. The What's Up Doc (the info file) was left off Issue 2, which has ^7lead to some confusion as the full instructions for the Sample player ^7were in it. My instructions in the Editorial forgot to say that it ^7 would only appear if called from the main menu screen. ^73. There was a bug in the graphics section of TA2, this meant that ^7if you went to view the clipart, you couldn't click on the buttons on ^7returning to TA. This only affected the disks posted on January 7th, ^7we are sorry for any inconvenience caused, there's nothing wrong ^7with your Amiga, and the magazine will function OK if you avoid ^7loading the graphic files. ^2 We hope that you will enjoy Totally Amos, we need your support to ^2make this idea work! ^3 Keep AMOSing! Len & Anne. ^7**BYE!*BYE!*BYE!*BYE!*BYE!*BYE!*BYE!*BYE!*BYE!*BYE!*BYE!*BYE!*BYE!** \
