We've had to alter ,it ^4slightly to make it suitable for this disk. It looks for all the ^4fonts on your disk, then prints the name of the font using the font ^4itself. ^2 Thank you John for being the first reader to send in a program. ^6--------------------------------------------------------------------- ^1@6LOGGER LARRY@^2[5 by Aaron Fothergill.[0 ^4This is one of Aaron's famous 10-liners! It is on the Sprite X ^4disk which is available to Amos Club members (from Déjà Vu ^4Software.) ^6 Larry's task is to progress from the bottom to the top of the screen ^6by climbing up the diagonally sloping logs. Just to add more fun ^6there are logs rolling down the slopes and some other nasties to be ^6avoided. ^2It's amazing what can be done inside just ten lines! Any takers ^2for our challenge to write a 10 line game?? ^5 Thanks Aaron for letting us publish Logger Larry. ^6--------------------------------------------------------------------- ^1@6SPRITE GRABBER@^2[5 by S.Raaiymakers[0 ^6Taken from APD ^2These are the original docs that came with this program, the only ^2bits edited out were the diagrams showing how a sprite is grabbed. ^2This was done because they contained some control codes we use to ^2display the text you're reading! ^4 This is for you, the makers of AMOS and the people of APD. I, like ^4many other people, have a version of Deluxe Paint. I use it to draw ^4all my sprites and grab them with the spritegrabber later. But the ^4sprite-grabber lacks a lot of functions. So I changed yours to ^4fulfill my needs. And here it is. ^6These are the new functions: ^5- AJUST MOUSE. Makes it possible to reach the entire screen with the ^5pointer. ^5- DEL. Deletes the spritebank. To activate this, press both ^5mouse-buttons. This is to avoid mistakes. ^5- EXTRA MEMORY. Closes editor, workbench and erases the ^5PAC-PIC-Bank. Handy if only you have 512 Kb. ^5- QUIT. Not new, but here you have to press both mouse-buttons too. ^4- I added a memory-counter. ^4- I made the selection-screen look a bit nicer. ^4- When you press a button, you here a sound to indicate that you ^4really DID press it. ^4- When you pick up a sprite, you get the sprite that is exactly IN ^4your box. ^4 With Deluxe Paint, they do it my way, which is more logical. ^4- I included A counter which shows the total number of sprites. ^4- Fast Search: When you press the arrows with the right ^4mouse-button, it makes a step of 5 images. ^2 I think a lot of people will be pleased to use this version, so ^2maybe you could include it into the new version of AMOS. ^6--------------------------------------------------------------------- ^1@6PUZZLE GAME@^2[5 by S. Raaiymakers. [0 ^4 This is a little slide puzzle game that is on one of the source code ^4disks on the PD Library. ^5 You have a 4 x 4 grid, which has 15 tiles and one space making up a ^5picture which is displayed at the top of the screen. You move a tile ^5by clicking on it with the left mouse button, it will then move into ^5the space, if possible. You complete the puzzle when it is back to ^5its original form. There are 3 options, PLAY, PRACTICE or QUIT. ^2 The author says that if a message appears at the top of the screen, ^2you can get rid of it by clicking right mouse button. ^6--------------------------------------------------------------------- ^1@6BUBBLES@^2[5by Dicon Peeke.[0 ^4 Here's a very handy little routine that you will be able to include ^4in your programs, credit Dicon please, if you do. ^5 It allows you to create speech bubbles for your characters, like ^5you'd find in cartoon books. The bubble is automatically created to ^5be the right size for your message. ^2 Nioe one Dicon, and thanks! ^6--------------------------------------------------------------------- ^1@6TEHNICAL FRED'S PROGRAM FILES.@^2[5 by Technical Fred Software[0 ^4 There are three programs for you here from Paul Townsend and Co at ^4Technical Fred. ^5 A disk full of programs arrived just in time for this issue.
