-------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - AMOS News - - - -------------------------------------------------------------------- F1 LICENSEWARE -------------- F1 Licenseware is a totally new company. Steve Bye, one of the proprietors, explains:- "Our aim is simple, we want to supply the public with a good standard of software at a highly competitive price point, while ensuring the author of the software is fairly rewarded. We are trying to keep everyone happy, which is a tall order, but we believe this can be achieved, and we hope that you, as AMOS programmers can join us in our future successes. Below are the details of how to submit software for evaluation and how your royalties will be calculated and paid to you. 1. The program you are submitting must be 100% your own work, you will be held personally responsible for any copyright infringements and any legal actions taken against you. You will have to sign a statement agreeing to this on your contract. 2. ALL programs submitted must be compatable with ALL standard Amiga computers. 3. Please send details clearly outlining what your program does and what language it is written in. 4. Please supply full documentation as a DOC file on the disk. 5. Clearly state your NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER and PROGRAM TITLE. 6. If you would like your disk(s) to be returned, please supply two stamps. If we cannot accept your program(s) then we will tell you as soon as possible by letter or phone. If we do accept your program, it will be sold in one of the following categories:- F1 BUDGET - Costs £1.99 and your royalty is 50p per copy sold (25%) F1 PREMIERE - Costs £2.99 & your royalty is 75p per copy sold (25%) F1 GOLD - Costs £3.99 and your royalty is 1.00 per copy sold (25%) If a program is on more than one disk then add £1.00 to the cost and 25p to your royalty. You will be sent a contract to sign and if you accept our conditions, sign it and return it, sit back and let us sell if for you." Francois explains the task ahead of him: "A lot of the code in AMOS Pro is very old, so I'll have to write much of it again in order for it to work with the AGA chipset". A rather reasonable £20 upgrade fee is being considered at present. C.R.A.F.T --------- C.R.A.F.T is an extension for AMOS that adds more than 160 new commands to the existing AMOS or AMOS Professional command set (it stands for Colours, Requestor, Audio, Fractals and Turtle so that should give you a good idea of what it is capable of).
