------------------------------------------------------------------------- AMOS Pro RAINBOW EDITOR ACCESSORY V1.01 (Oct/1993) written by Markus Steinlein ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This program is designed to easily create AMOS Rainbow Effects via the mouse for the direct use in your own programs. It is dedicated to the "desperate" Mel Croucher, maybe it will bring some colour into his life! Thanks to François Lionet for designing AMOS & AMOS Professional and for simply being a genius! A big hello to Howard Wilsher, who gave me the idea to develop this program. He wrote 'Rainbow Generator Professional', which is a good piece of code, but not suitable to AMOS Professional, so I decided to write a true AMOS Pro version which is vastly enhanced according to its original. It features: - fully mouse driven user interface - nice graphics - up to 30 pattern definitions for every colour - some useful tools to design a rainbow - rainbow cycle ability - program feedback to every action the user takes - online help mode - support of the AMOS Pro Editor Accessory feature - save/load functions - keyboard shortcuts for most of the functions - all gadgets on one carefully designed operation panel directly available to the user - full integration into the AMOS Professional Environment There are two versions of this program, one for AMOS V1.34 user and the other for AMOS Professional user. AMOS V1.34: If you use the normal AMOS you have to run the file called 'RainbowED'. This is the compiled version, which should run on every Amiga with at least 1Meg of RAM. You are able to design nice Rainbows, save them as ASCII and merge them directly into your AMOS program. AMOS Pro : If you are an AMOS Pro user you have the facility to fully exploit the program. For all you happy people I supplied the true AMOS Pro Source Code, called 'RainbowEditor.AMOS'. It would be perfect to copy this file directly into your Accessories: folder and give it an entry in the AMOS Pro User menu. If started as an Accessory, this program reveals its true power: It is possible to copy the source code you need to define the rainbow directly into the currently edited program by using the amazing 'Call Editor' function provided by AMOS Pro. DISCLAIMER: The author takes no warranty for this program and could not be held responsible for the damage of hard- or software which may result from using 'RainbowEditor'. At any rate, this program was tested very carefully and should work well. This program is freely distributable, and you may include it to every public domain library you like, providing you send me a postcard which tells me where you would include my program and which version you have (I will send you the actual version, if it's necessary). You are not allowed to take money for this program except of a nominal copy fee which may not exceed DM 5.- (or the appropriate amount in any other currency) per disk Only the whole package may be distributed, including all files in the 'RainbowEditor' directory as there are: 'RainbowED' - the compiled version for AMOS user 'RainbowEditor.AMOS' - the source code for use with APro 'ReadME' - This file 'RainbowEditor.doc' - the manual file You are not allowed to change any of the above files in any kind. If you have suggestions to improve 'RainbowEd', write to me! Well, this program is distributed as CardWare, because I like to receive some mail.
