Event_logger. (c) J.Tullin 1991. This program was written to aid a friend of mine do some video editing work. The idea is that if you have a long piece of video tape, and wish to copy certain sections of it to another tape, it is useful to be able to mark the start and end points of the bits you want. I imagine the program has other uses too. I dont know what they are, though. My friend had a program to do this already, a PD one from America, which would have bee ideal except that its clock ran at the wrong speed. This program runs correctly on 50hz machines, but the AMOS source is also on the disc, should anyone in other places want to alter it to suit 60hz. So, simply, you run the video tape. At the start and end of each section you wish to mark, you press the mouse button. At the end of the last piece, you can go over the marked sections, and add some text in the computer. Eg: Event 1: Opening sequence. Starts 0:0:15 Ends 0:1:23 Duration 0:1:06 ..and all these details, together with a total of all logged times is sent to the printer for a hard copy. Fantastic graphics! Ear-dazzling sound effects! Brilliant programming! These and more apply to Populous, but sadly not to this program. It was written for pure functionality, and could have been done on any machine. Therefore my apologies to those who like their Amiga programs to look like Amiga programs. If you need to use the program, you won`t mind a bit. Happy editing. Jeff.
