SOME NOTES FOR EASY AMOS USERS. ----------------------------------- To make sure that Easy Ramos works, please make sure that the first line of your program opens up a default screen as below:- Screen Open 0,320,200,16,lowres:Curs Off: Flash Off: Cls 0 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The only difference you'll see is that the Easy Amos file requestor will be replaced by the default Amos requestor, this isn't as nice-looking, but will not upset your program. The idea is to add your program to this disk, if you call your program autoexec.amos, then you will not have to alter the startup sequence on this disk. If your program is called by another name then change the startup sequence in a text editor to Ramos 1.34 "Name of Prog" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- FILES THAT YOU CAN DELETE FROM THIS DISK ---------------------------------------- If you are not using the 'SAY' command then you can delete the files listed below:- In the 'devs' directory delete the following, Narrator.device In the 'libs' directory delete the following, Translator.library In the 'l' directory delete the following, Speak-handler --------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you are not using the 'Ram:' disk I.E. 'C=Exist (Ram:")' Which will create a 'Ram:' disk for you, delete the following files:- In the 'Devs' directory delete the following, ramdrive.device In the 'l' directory delete the following, ram-handler ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Many programs which have been written with AMOS will not run inside EASY AMOS as many of the commands have been removed to make learning easier. However, the OFFICIAL AMOS PD LIBRARY is organising disks which will load and run in EASY AMOS. The numbers of these disks will be available from:- THE OFFICIAL AMOS PUBLIC DOMAIN LIBRARY 17, WICK FARM ROAD ST LAWRENCE BAY SOUTHMINSTER ESSEX CM0 7PF U.K. PLEASE SEND SAE OR IRC FOR DETAILS, PLEASE STATE `EASY AMOS INFO' ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
