//////////////////////////////// / My Music Machine Ver2.00 c / / By Andy Paul / / using AMOS / //////////////////////////////// I hereby accept no responsability for any faults that may occur during the use of this program,ie,your kid spills their drink over your keyboard, you spill your drink over your keyboard, toffee gets stuck in between the keys, etc, etc. Also nobody is allowed to tamper with this text or the program. **IMPORTANT** I have made this program copyright legally,as i believe it has potential to become a well sort after program. If you wish to contribute to a future version then write to me at the address below.Either musically, ideas, gfx, or programing. ---------- - - WHATWEAR ? - - ---------- My Music Machine Ver 1,or MMM as i know it,was diskware,if anyone liked it then all i asked for was a disk for my troubles.I didn't get a disk from anyone,so obviously no one on this earth is using my program, not ONE of those billion kids on planet earth. MMM Ver2.00 is ...........................diskwear,if you like what you see then send me a disk.If you send two disks,i'll send one back with more PD on it.If you send more than 2,you've a friend for life. ----- - - WHY ? - - ----- Those of you who already have a copy of Ver 1,will know why,if you haven't seen Ver 1,don't worry, you haven't missed much, this ver is far superior. The reason why i made up this musical proggy was mainly for the younger generation who,to me,are missing out on things they can do on the Amiga because the program is just to hard to use.For example,a 5 year old hasn't a hope in hells chance of using any of the soundtrackers,at least i don't think so.So,i decided i would write a simple program that they could use with immediate results, only,i found that adults could have just as much fun. A friend of mine (i think so anyway !),called Ziggy, took up on this idea, he asked to take over the project to create version 2 and above.Slowly but surely MMM turned into a sountracker clone,i believe it will still be called MMM,he's not sure yet,but it will be above version 3.I decided that MMM should stay as it was intended, and took up the task of creating the next version which i'm sure you'll agree is 10x better. Some of the GFX are done by Ziggy Griffiths, mixed around by me to create the screen i was after. The best way to get to know the program is use it.It pretty much speaks for itself.I have added a whats what section, just in case anyone is interested. ------------ - - WHATS WHAT ? - - ------------ INSTRUMENTS: At the top you have the menu for the Instruments. There are 15 instruments to choose from, just click on the required choice. There is also a CHANGE SELECTION button. This loads 15 more instruments to choose from. Click on it again and it will return to the first 15. ------------------- ON/OFF SECTION: There is an on and off button for four objects, they are as follows:- EQUALIZER-A two bar equalizer, works when rhythm is running. NOTES-Places the notes on the keyboard.(Perfect for learning) FINGER-Places a finger on the keyboard.(Mixed with Notes, great for learning NOT YET IN USE- ------------------- METRONOME: Not yet in use, maybe an idea. ------------------- TEMPO: Alters the playback speed of the rhythm selected. ------------------- START-STOP: Starts and stops the Rhythm. When the Rhythm is playing the response to a key press deterioates quite considerably. In most cases, there's no problem, but if your playing a fast piece then forget it.This is a bug with the play back of Amos music. ------------------- LOAD RHYTHM: This will give you a choice of 14 rhythms.Click on your choice or oops to quit. ------------------- KEY REPEAT SPEED: If you hold the keys down the ketboard will play as if you were tapping the keys, this section makes the tapping speed faster or slower, some good effects can be heard using this utility. ------------------- KEYBOARD: The keyboard on the screen is only a visual aid, clicking on the keys serves no purpose. The keyboard set up is pretty much the same as the trackers set up. Z to M is the notes c to b,and keys Q to Y are the same only an octave higher. And then there's also the #'s as well. With the finger and notes set to on,you will see how easy it is to play a tune. When there is NO rhythm playing TWO keys can be played simultaneously, giving quite a nice sound.Holding the keys down will repeat the sound quite quickly, also giving a nice sound. ==================== ================== ME: If you want to get in touch then phone or write. If you phone, ask for young Andy,as my dads' name is Andy as well.(Yes that does cause problems).
