NO! - then you have to go back ^7through the seven mazes to finish the game!! ^6 The graphics are rather small, but when you get your bearings, they ^6look O.K. You start at the top right of the screen, which is unusual ^6as most start on the left, (or is that me being quirky?) and you're ^6off. The game idea is to collect four tablets and get back to the ^6transporter which takes you to the next level. The game is set ^6against the clock, and although there doesn't seem to be enough time ^6at first, there is, athough only just. Using `P' to pause the game ^6while you look which way to go helps. If your way is blocked, shoot ^6the obstacle out of the way. It is not advisable to put you stick to ^6`autofire' as your supersonic car goes to speed of a slug! ^4 If you die, you have to start again from level one, but if you ^4persevere, you should be able to complete the game. I got to level 5 ^4before dying, which isn't bad for a non games player. ^2 This is a straightforward maze game, it doesn't have all the frills ^2of a mega game, but it does have a simple addiction which kept me ^2going back for another try. ^7 It has been put into the P.D. Library as shareware, but Andy only ^7asks for £2.00p if you load it more than three times. ^2..................................................................... ^6@2GLODRICK.@ @2HANGMAN.@ @2ERIC WATCH YOUR STEP.@ ^4[5BY Luke Miller[0 [5BY Simon Walklate[0 [5BY Colin Naylor.[0 ^1[3A.P.D. 258.[0 ^2..................................................................... ^6GLODRICK 1. ^4 Glodrick is the latest game from Luke Miller. In it you have to help ^4little Glodrick to rescue all the stars which the star thief has ^4taken and hidden in the dangerous caverns. Goldrick has been elected ^4to get them back. ^4 This is Luke's best game yet, it's simple in style, but there is ^4good gameplay, the path taken to collect the stars has to done in a ^4logical way or you'll get stuck on the wrong side of the cave, ^1 It's not a Megablaster of a game, but is guarenteed to give younger ^1players a bit of fun. ^6HANGMAN. ^7This is the traditional hangman game, you can either play the ^7computer, or play against a friend. ^7As usual you have to guess the letters in the mystery word, if you ^7get one wrong, your man is a step nearer being hanged. In the 2 ^7player version, one player types in the word to be guessed, and the ^7other player guesses it. ^2The presentation is very basic, but at least it helps conserve the ^2rainforests by not using up reams of paper! ^6ERIC WATCH YOUR STEP. ^5This is a type of guessing game, Eric has to get from the bottom of ^5the screen to the top without stepping on a mine. The trouble with ^5the mines is that they are buried so that Eric cannot see them. You ^5 must move him forward a square at a time, you are told how many mines ^5are around you, you have to guess where they are before moving. If ^5you are wrong, you get blown to bits! ^5There are 6 levels with different hazards such as a beasty to chase ^5Eric and a train you must hop on to get onto the top half of the ^5screen. ^5 If you die, you get an `action replay' showing where all the mines ^5were and the path you took to your untimely death. ^1This game should give kids some fun, and adds value to this games ^1disk. ^2..................................................................... ^6@2SKETCH A TUNE.@ ^1[3A.P.D.269.[0 ^4[5By Colin Naylor.[0 ^2..................................................................... ^1 Have you ever thought about how nice it would be if you could `draw' ^1music? Well now you can! ^7 Using this program you can compose a tune by clicking on the music ^7score. The notes will be drawn for you as you hear their sound. ^5 The program is packed with features, you can change the current ^5sample, change the note length, load and save tunes, play the tune ^5from the start or from the cursor position. ^2 This is a very well presented program, it should appeal to young ^2composers, as it's really easy to use, just keeping the left mouse ^2button pressed and moving up and down the musical lines will produce ^2a `tune'. Kids will soon find out how to draw in a favourite tune. ^2Recommended for the musically inclined. ^2..................................................................... ^1Digging back through the [2AMOS P.D.[0 disks, I've found one of our ^1favourite AMOS games - read on!! ^6@2CROSSFIRE.@ ^1[3A.P.D. 110.[0 ^4[5By Roger Nutter.[0 ^2..................................................................... ^2 This game came onto the Amos Library just after Sandra asked us to ^2put the P.D. disks together. It has remained a favourite ever since. ^7 The game screen is a grid with little coloured tiles which make up a ^7picture. You are in a tiny spaceship and must fly around this grid ^7clearing off the tiles to get to the next level. This sounds easy, ^7but there are mines to be avoided, and there are four enemy ships ^7around the edges of the grid which home in on you and shoot at your ^7ship. The game is set against the clock, with bonus points being ^7given for time left at the end of a level. ^2 In the following levels there are more mines and problems, but as ^2I've only got as far as level 2, and then not for long, You'll have ^2to find out for yourselves! I'm not saying that the game is hard, ^2it's just that I'm no good with a joystick! ^1If the author of this addictive game is reading this, are you going ^1to write another one??? ^3Yes, Len Tucker still likes this one! ^2..................................................................... \
