World Championship Soccer

In World Championship Soccer you have a choice of one-off matches or a set of
international matches similar to the World Cup competition, split into 6 groups 
with qualifying games lasting 3 days, you can play a friend or the computer,
if a match is not decided at full-time you have to take penaties.
It uses a overhead free-scrolling display of the pitch, controlled by joystick
which at times seems very difficult when tackling or taking corners, but
overall passing seems easier than some soccer games.
You can choose your own team to play the International option from a squad of
well known players, other teams provide a stiff opposition.
Between matches you can check on how other teams are progressing, which at
times can be very useful.
Taking part in the championship are 24 international teams that seem to take 
on similar characteristics to their real life counterparts from their
respective countries.
