Short: Powerpacker.library 68020+ version Author: djones@cardiffcybercafe.co.uk (Dave Jones) Uploader: djones@cardiffcybercafe.co.uk Type: util/libs Replaces: util/libs/pplib020.lha Powerpacker.library 37.3 ------------------------ This is an optimised version of powerpacker.library based on Nico Francois' original v36.10, which is to the best of my knowledge the highest version that has been released in the last 4-5 years. My version only works on machines with at least a 68020 or greater processor. I also removed lots of reloc entries, making the executable shorter. As Nico hasn't updated powerpacker for several years, and has given reqtools to someone else, Is it safe to say, that he's left the Amiga? If so, Adios Nico, you'll be missed. Corrected the version & revision fields of the lib base. Now, the no-flash decrunch type uses the NO-OP hardware register instead of a 37.3 27.12.96 - PPErrorMessage was broken in the last three versions and returned nonsense results, which caused some applications to behave randomly. *Please Note* PPErrorMessage() should only be called if there was a non-zero return code from PPLoadData() For some reason GadToolsBox (And some others) were calling PPErrorMessage() even when everything went ok! Speeded up the PPDecrypt function a little. ============================= Archive contents ============================= Original Packed Ratio Date Time Name -------- ------- ----- --------- -------- ------------- 5860 4010 31.5% 27-Dec-96 15:01:04 powerpacker.library 1972 994 49.5% 27-Dec-96 15:01:50 pplib020.readme -------- ------- ----- --------- -------- 7832 5004 36.1% 09-Jan-97 06:17:56 2 files
