Short: Extract text file section to stdout V1.0 Author: nick.christie@oucs.ox.ac.uk (Nick Christie) Uploader: nick.christie@oucs.ox.ac.uk (Nick Christie) Version: 1.0 Type: util/cli Requires: AmigaOS V2.04+ Distribution: Freeware A small command line utility I wrote because I needed it. Maybe it's of some use to you, too. Usage: Extract FILE/A OFFSET/N LENGTH/N BYTES/S Where: FILE is the file to extract a section from. OFFSET is the 0-based line or byte offset to start at. If the offset is past the end of the file, nothing is printed. LENGTH is the number of lines or bytes to print. If the length extends beyond the end of the file, printing stops at EOF. BYTES is a switch that indicates the offset and length are in bytes rather than lines. $VER: Extract.readme 1.0 (3.12.95) ============================= Archive contents ============================= Original Packed Ratio Date Time Name -------- ------- ----- --------- -------- ------------- 1144 565 50.6% 04-Dec-95 00:39:08 Extract.info 1008 697 30.8% 04-Dec-95 00:52:22 +Extract 7609 2353 69.0% 04-Dec-95 00:46:20 +Extract.c 2388 958 59.8% 04-Dec-95 00:48:52 +Extract.doc 1427 772 45.9% 04-Dec-95 00:39:24 +Extract.doc.info 981 476 51.4% 04-Dec-95 00:41:26 +Extract.readme 1448 702 51.5% 04-Dec-95 00:39:30 +Extract.readme.info 255 175 31.3% 04-Dec-95 00:32:08 +Extract.scopts 862 412 52.2% 04-Dec-95 00:51:04 +Extract.smake 1084 609 43.8% 01-Jun-95 23:41:10 +TinyStart.o 5122 1732 66.1% 01-Jun-95 23:40:48 +TinyStart.s -------- ------- ----- --------- -------- 23328 9451 59.4% 06-Dec-95 11:10:32 11 files
