Short: Pipes in AmigaShell Pip 1.0 By Asher Feldman Pip allows you to take full advantage of the PIPE: device under AmigaDos. It will allow you to easily pipe the output of one program, into another. It operates like the Unix pipe. For example, is you wanted to read a binary in hexidemal, but would like to have the output in Less, instead of using Type, it's as easy as : pip type opt h filename | less Note that the vertical bar is just as in Unix. You could also specify to have to output be in a form recognized by programs such as Ed, or other text editors. (or any nearly any program that will load a filename) with the -s option. For example : pip -s type opt h filename | ed Will put the ouput in Ed, instead of on your CLI.
