Short: Update to HQ V1.83 with Mechs&Maps&Orders Type: game/misc Uploader: wk039318@rzcipa01.rz.tu-bs.de About Robotech HeadQuarters V1.83 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HeadQuarters is the ultimate replacement for the old MechForce and BattleForce games. It has been designed to extend these games and bring more playability into them. The work has started in late 1990 with some small support programs which has been put together to a single HeadQuarters program in 1991. Since then HeadQuarters has grow considerably to a most useful program for the MechForce and BattleTech games. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The MechForce program in this archive, which is freely distributable, is currently being used to play deadly combats against other (computer-)units. It can be replaced against the BattleForce program if someone finds this much more appropriate. All the mechs coming with this archive have been designed with HeadQuarters and are not fully downward compatible. All the extended mech types can not be used within the old support programs that belong to the MechForce or BattleForce package. If you are using HeadQuarters you will not need most of them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This software has been designed to work perfectly on a hard drive. It can be installed by simply copying all the files and directories somewhere on your Hard Drive. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Modification done to MechForce since last realease: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- MF will now open a NTSC Screen on PAL systems under V2.xx.. MF configuration files have been moved to same dir where MF is located. SND have been renamed to Sounds. Power Engine sizes have been extended from 400 to maximal 600. Base Move caclulation that caused MF to generate a divide by zero (Base Move was 0) fixed. A bug in IMessage causes IAddress to contain sometimes the mouse position rather than the real IAddress, this is now fixed. The current version of MechForce should now run on Amiga 500+ and other machines. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HeadQuarters are copyright 1991-1993 © Andreas Smigielski Wiedweg 5, 38120 Braunschweig, Germany.
