Short: Prerelease of AHI-PPC,binary files Author: Martin Blom (lcs@lysator.liu.se) Uploader: Fr3dY (0maniac0@teleline.es) Type: mus/misc Visit the AHI Homepage at http://www.lysator.liu.se/~lcs/ahi.html 1999-09-12 Right. Unfortunately, I lost my net connection (including access to my CVS server) for over a week when Rydnet was officially closed down, after more than five years of operation. As a side note, I joined in November 1994, I think, and the A4000 I connected back then is still the only computer I have at home (not counting the C-64 and C-128D). Funny how time flies, isn't it? Anyway, enough of this drivel. Here is the source code you've all been waiting for, and here are some binaries, in case you don't feel like feeding me with patches. The anti-click settings can be adjusted from the preferences program, or by the developer by using AHIA_AntiClickSamples in AHI_AllocAudioA() and by using the AHISB_NODELAY bit. Current status * All hifi mixing routines for the PowerPC are there. * None of the hifi mixing routines for the m68k are there yet. * Assembler echo and master volume is missing. * Non-hifi mixing routines in C are included. They're not supposed to be used for spead reasons, but to get that groovy Paula feeling (bribes do work, Jan!). Unfortunately, echo is missing in non-hifi modes, but that will be added soon. * Still no WarpUp support. I seem to have broken the ELF loader I got from Frank Wille. I'm investigating, but patches are welcome. * The packaging is not finished yet. This includes installer script, updated documentation, proper source archive that includes the drivers and a prober developer archive with header files et cetera. * I need to update the BGUI and ClassAct preferences programs to support the global anti-click settings. Or even better, ditch them all for a OS 3.5 version. We'll see. That's it. As soon as the problems above are fixed, and I have added a none mixing mode (for streaming applications like mp3 players), I'll bump the version number to 5 and release it officially. Let me know if you want access to the CVS server. Flame on!
