The feature of this new time are that all timezones no longer exists, all geographical borders are gone. Everywhere in the world, the beats are in all countries the same. Did you understand? An example, you live in Germany and want to chat with someone in the USA, you have to meet at a certain time, let's say 12:00 p.m. German time. Normally you would now have to calculate the time differenz between German time and American time, but with the Swatch Internet time you could simply tell him "we meet at 500 Beats," the good thing is that 500 Beats in the USA is exactly the same time in Germany. As already said above, this new time doesn't have hours or minutes, only Beats. Calculation begins at 12:00 a.m. MEST (GMT+1) with 0 Beats. At 12:00 p.m. we have exactly 500 Beats, and so on. The time is written in the format "@ xxx Beats" ("at xxx Beats"). @endnode @node req "Requierements" You need: - MUI 3.0 or above @endnode @node install "Installation" Simply drag it somewhere (preferably into WBStartup) and run it. @endnode @node config "Configuration" You can configure it by setting these ToolTypes: TIMEOFFSET: the hours you are away from MEST (GMT+1). @{b}IMPORTANT:@{ub} If your country has daylight saving time, you must attend this! Ex: German users in summertime have to set an offset of -1. POS_X : left edge position of the window. POS_Y : top edge position of the window. @endnode @node use "Usage" Menus: Project Activate alert : toggle this to activate the alert function Alert at... : a window will pop up, where you can adjust the alarm time. Quit : quit the program. Settings Settings : opens the settings window, where you can adjust your time offset from MEST. Note: Because of a bug I had to disable saving the value adjusted here, use instead the tooltypes item "TIMEOFFSET". MUI Settings : open MUI settings window. Snapshot window: don't use it, it doesn't work, use tooltypes instead. Windows: Main window: here are the beats displayed. Alert win : if you activated the alert this window will pop up and remind you. (alert comes in combination with three display beeps) @endnode @node hist "History" V1.0 (08-05-99) - first release @endnode @node fut "Future" - fixing the tooltypes save bug (settings window) - fixing snaphot window bug - fixing other not yet known bugs (mail me bugs if you find some) - your ideas? @endnode @node auth "Author" My snail mail address: Yves Grabowsky Keplerstr. 23 08248 Klingenthal Germany eMail: rexxmaster@gmx.net Homepage: http://members.tripod.com/~rexxmaster/ @endnode
