Short: An intelligent game of backgammon. v2.6 Uploader: glynnk@cadvision.com (Kevin Glynn) Author: glynnk@cadvision.com (Kevin Glynn) Type: game/board This program should work on any Amiga with OS 2.04 or greater and will use a 640x480 AGA multiscan screen if available. I've also heard that it works good on a Picasso card and even on a Macintosh using U.A.E. ProGammon is system friendly, it's full of options yet it remains small and very cpu & memory efficient. An excellent backgammon player by the name of Phillip A. Cochran showed me how previous versions of this program made far too many timid, unconstructive moves. I think most users will find that this program now plays a much more dynamic and aggresive game. Changes in v2.6: -a complete rewrite of the AI. -added a tooltype so users that are too lazy to register can now use their name. -also added a tooltype so that users can use their own dice. Shoud be no more "it cheats" complaints! In the long run, it will take an expert player to keep the Amiga from winning 50% of the time. Good luck!
