AFCD26 May 1998 PART THE FIRST -------------- Because QuakePlayer expects to be able save its config, you should move this whole drawer to your hard drive before starting to play. You will need to make sure that you have at least 42Mb of space available before you start copying. PART THE SECOND --------------- We've included quite a few different demos for you to view with QuakePlayer. To load them, simply start the Quake console once Quakeplayer has fully loaded (by hitting the "~" key up at the top left-hand side of your keyboard), and type "playdemo *" where the star is replaced with the name of the demo - for instance: "playdemo camper". You can then hit the tilde key again to get rid of the console. PART THE THIRD -------------- QuakePlayer will give you some idea of what performance you can expect from your Amiga right now. If it's jerky, you can bet that playing the actual game will be worse because you'll actually be taking part rather than simply watching. You can use the right mouse button while using QuakePlayer to view the menus which will let you change the screensize or alter the brightness.
