Please read the following notes before starting the game. @{b}Versions@{ub} There are two versions of UFO on this CD - one for OCS or ECS machines (A500/A600) and one for AGA machines(A1200/A4000). Although you can run the ECS version on an AGA machine, you may find difficulty running the game if your machine is equipped with a fast processor such as a 68040 or 060. Whichever version you wish to use, please read the following notes on different ways of starting the game. @{b}Installing@{ub} Both versions of the game come with an installer script, which you will find in the relevant drawers. The ECS version installer requires you to enter a pathname, so check the name of your hard drive before you run it. Once installed on your machine, you can simply click on the UFO icon to run the game. @{b}Playing From CD@{ub} If you don't have space on your hard drive, or simply don't want to install the game, you can run it direct from the CD. If you want to be able to save your games though, you will have to assign UFOSAVES: to an area of your hard disk. It might be worthwhile to add this assign to your user-startup. @{b}Playing from floppy@{ub} If you do not have a CD drive, but have access to one (even on another platform), you can use the DMS files included on the CD to recreate a set of original disks. From this CD all you have to do is double click on the disk images to extract the disks (be sure to have some blank floppies standing by). If you are accessing the CD via a PC, you can copy the DMS files onto PC floppies and read them on your Amiga. You will then have to extract the DMS files manually. @{b}Copy Protection@{ub} The AGA version of UFO:Enemy Unknown uses a code protection system. The relevant code numbers are printed inside the CD cover. @endnode
