INTRODUCTION
~~~~~~~~~~~~
'KRUSHA' is written by Stuart Brown (Age 14) in AMOSPro..
Everything was done by me... the graphics, sound, coding, icon, etc...
It was incredibly hard work!
KRUSHA was written in a very short time - about a month from conception
 to the finished game.
I HOPE YOU ENJOY KRUSHA!
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

To be honest, I have no idea. It should work on a non-AGA machine, with
1MB, but I haven't tested it! It works on my 2MB A1200. (This is all I
know.) Please write to me with any incompatibility problems.
KRUSHA works perfectly on a hard drive. Just drag the disk icon onto your
desired drawer, and Workbench does the rest for you. KRUSHA needs no
assigns. KRUSHA is millions of times faster on hard disk, as there is quite
a lot of data involved.

CONCEPTION
~~~~~~~~~~
I wrote a really good game, about a year and a half a go, called 'Mini
Machines'. It was a total rip-off of a similarly-named racing game, but it
was well-coded and fun to play! Unfortunately, it was lost in a terrible hard
drive accident. KRUSHA uses a similar engine to MM, but the control system
is different. MM used a full 360 rotational system, whilst KRUSHA uses a
push-to-go-in-that-direction system, which is more suited to this type of
game, and enables you to escape from corners easily, and pull other amazing
stunts.
CONTROL
~~~~~~~
Use a joystick plugged into the joystick port.

                    Go up
         go up/left       go up/right
                    \ ^ /                 FIRE= nothing.
                     \|/
      Go left     <---O---> Go right
                     /|\
                    / v \
          go down/left  go down/ right
                   Go down

THE AIM OF THE GAME
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You are the red/white car in the centre of the screen. Tou have to try to
squash the small pink/white cars, whilst avoiding the yellow steam roller.
The pink cars are crushed when you drive over them, and another appears
elsewhere. The steam roller follows you (slowly). The amount of cars you get
and the time you last go towards your score.
PHASES
~~~~~~

The game time is divided up into 4 separate phases, each with a faster
steamroller than the last. Each phase, apart from the last one, lasts 30
secs.

Phase 1 - the blue phase. from 0-30 secs.
Phase 2 - the green phase. from 30-60 secs.
Phase 3 - the yellow phase. from 60-90 secs
Phase 4 - the red or OVERKILL phase. 90+ secs

In the OVERKILL zone, the steam roller will continue to speed up every 30
secs, until it goes too fast and your death is inevitable.

ARROWS
~~~~~~
The arrows at the side of the screen denote the positions of the small car
and steam roller. The white arrow is for the car, the black is for the steam
roller.
BONUSES
~~~~~~~

Occasionally, bonuses will appear. There are a number of them and they have
varying effect:

Bonus                  Appearance           Effect         Lasts for

Super charge Positive symbol Speeds up 10 secs
                        (+) in circle        engine

STOP Stop sign Stops 'roller 5 secs

500 bonus             '500'                  +500 point       -

1000 bonus            '1000'                 +1000 point      -

SLOW 'Slow' Slows 'roller 10 secs

Bonuses appear at random intervals (usually about every 10 secs), and at
random locations.

GAME OVER
~~~~~~~~~
One hit from the steam roller will cause your car to stop working, and so
the 'roller can crush you against the wall, completely obliterating you, and
causing you to explode. (which is game over)
RESULTS
~~~~~~~

After you die, a results screen will come up showing your final time and
kills, and a scrolly message will comment on how well you did, and often
offers a handy tip.

SCORE
~~~~~
After the results, your score screen will come up, showing your score and
the best score today.
The score is worked out as follows:
        TIME + KILLS
        ------------   + BONUS POINTS
             2
Bonus points are:
*  points collected from bonuses
* +100 bonus for lasting to phase 2
* +500 bonus for phase 3
* +1000 bonus for phase 4
Press fire to start a new game.
