Version 1.0 The PlaystationTM Database -------------------------- Since the Amiga games scene has gone flat, lots of Amiga owners have bought a new console. The games are expensive and most are mediocre. The purpose of this database is for any Amiga owners that have aquired a Playstation and would like to play decent games on it. You can use it as a guide for swapping games with friends or swap clubs, and to see if a game is worth renting or buying. There is one drawer with two files in it. They are called Playstation.ASCII & Playstation.Final Data. Owners of the program "Final Data" can load the database from the Project Menu/Open. If you do not have "Final Data" you can load the ASCII version using any word processor. When the database is loaded you will see the Playstation games in alphabetical order, together with Genre and Rating. Guide to Ratings ---------------- I have played computer games for over 10 years so I should know a good game when I see one. Most magazines use percentages to rate games. Rather than breach copyright and copy out their percentages, my ratings are as follows; Equivilent to 59% and below - Crap 60% - 79% bracket - Not Bad 80% - 89% bracket - Good Equivilent to 90% -98% bracket - Brilliant anything over 98% is Perfect. Kids - Suitable for young players. The 'Playstation' is a trademark of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. This Database is Public Domain. This means that there is no copyright and you can edit it at will. Watch out for further updates. Distribution. ------------- The Playstation Database, Readme & ASCII can be used by Magazines for their coverdisk or cover CD. Please copy the whole drawer called "PlaystaionTM.database", it can be copied to any drawer/directory so long as nothing is deleted from it. Paul Tompkins. March 1997 END
